Margery Tippie is an editor and writer who lives in Sayville, Long Island. When she is not commuting to her job at Columbia University in Manhattan’s Morningside Heights, she walks her dog, practices recorder and the jazz piano she took up a couple of years ago, and does whatever else she can think of to avoid doing housework. She loves opera and movies and is an avid subscriber to Netflix. A reformed choral singer, she has spent many a summer attending early music workshops in this country and in England. She has been a member of the Recorder Orchestra of New York since its beginning.
